Our Week of Celebrating 160 year continues. The children challenged their recall of facts and stories related to our Patron saint - St Antony of Padua. Quiz Masters: Mr Curran and Mr Morgan, applied technology and humour to measure our recall and generated positive fun for all.WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!THE WINNERS WERE THE YEAR SIX BOYS! Reading to year six, our visiting poet, Mr Canute Lawrence of Ontario Canada, brought us inspirational messages in his poems. He encouraged us to accept ourselves as we are fearfully and wonderfully made he also encouraged us to be the difference we want to see. His anthology of poems is called: Pathology of a Pandemic.Thank you sir.

St Antony Children make Bread & Sandwiches - posted 15th Jun

St. Antony is known for helping and being charitable. Giving food to people in need when he could but always sharing the food of life - Gospel Knowledge.The story is told of a mule that gave worship and reverence to the blessed host at the command of St Antony.On Wednesday our children made bread (Design and Technology, Science, Math) and different sandwiches (Shapes Colour Flavours) while talking about the importance of sharing. They loved it. I am hopeful that some of the newly baked bread will reach home.

St. Antony’s Catholic Primary School has begun its week of celebrations today by honouring those who have come before us and those who are with us today! This milestone is a massive and outstanding achievement: nurturing young minds and developing future leaders who will use their words to teach and their actions to preach!Today, our festivities began with a very Inspirational Mass in the Parish Church led by Father John Armitage which was filed with words of encouragement and a huge challenge to serve our neighbours. He reminded us that our work with and for our pupils was Kingdom Work and challenged us to nurture the hearts and minds of the future!

The entire staff and pupils at St Antony's celebrated Her Majesty's Jubilee in fine style: with a fashion show of Kings and Queens , Princesses and Princes, a platinum street party and singing of the National Anthem and school song. WE danced , Sang, ate, and ate some more , we played - it was major fun.
